Alex & Bob discuss the many faces and races that run the Nwo.
Corporate interests own Congress in order to write the laws that govern their industries. If they were not governed at all, which is the "free market" idea that conservatives like Jones spew, then they would do what they please. How can you say they would act lawfully when they are already making sure the laws made are in their favor? If they were ever doing "the right thing" then government would have never been involved. I've got plenty of historical accounts to prove this.
I think we agree completely on what the reality of the situation is, but I think we have different ideas about the solution, or maybe we actually agree. One reality is that if you're a successful business on a large scale and you aren't lobbying Congress, then you will get screwed, but most people who have found this out now have offices on K street. I also agree that laws should apply equally to all, but why are corporate interests lobbying Congress? To get an advantage.A lot of people assume that in a free market businesses would poison rivers and produce toxic products, but those things occur in the system we have specifically because Governmental departments allow them to, while simultaneously make progress more difficult for lobbyist-free businesses.
Commerce and property laws should be straightforward and apply to all equally - that's the essence of free market capitalism.
All that aside I think we agree on most aspects of the problem.
Large corporations are heavily subsidized and provided regulatory benefits, but if they grew without those (and without breaking laws) I see no reason why their business should be criticized.
I see a difference between laws and regulations - I suspect the term "regulation" is used simply because of the Constitutional allowance for Government to regulate interstate commerce.
They misuse their role and apply terms they feel alleviate acknowledgement of regulatory favoritism. And so there would only be a few very large corporations that would have a monopoly on the market. I was listening to Alex Jones right after I posted this comment. Part of the show was a recorded segment where he's talking to Gerald Celente. Jones is pissed that a Republican congressman said that Congress is there to be subservient to business and that banks should not be regulated. How is this not hypocritical? Alex wants government to regulate business
